This notice explains which personal data is processed when you visit Avni's personal website, why, and how, in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

What data is processed?
- Your cookie choice — Whether you accepted or declined cookies, and when, is stored in a cookie in your browser.
- Like / dislike votes (only if you accept cookies and vote) — A random ID assigned to your browser, your vote, when it changed, and an irreversible salted hash of your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored. Vote counts are visible only to the site owner.
- Visit statistics (only if you accept cookies) — Aggregate statistics via Vercel Web Analytics such as page visited, referrer, country, and device and browser type, and page-load performance measurements (Core Web Vitals) via Vercel Speed Insights. These tools don't use cookies and don't build a profile that identifies you.
- Technical logs — The hosting providers keep short-lived server logs (IP address, browser information, request time) for security and to run the service.
There are no advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies on this site; your data is never sold or used for marketing.

Purposes and legal bases
- Storing your cookie choice and technical logs: legitimate interest in running and securing the site (KVKK art. 5/2-f).
- Voting cookie and visit statistics: your explicit consent (KVKK art. 5/1). If you don't consent, the site works normally.
- IP hash: legitimate interest in preventing one person from casting many votes (KVKK art. 5/2-f).
Transfers and service providers
The site runs on Vercel Inc. (hosting and statistics) and Supabase Inc. (database and file storage). Their servers are located outside Turkey, so data may be transferred abroad under KVKK art. 9. Data is not shared with any other third party.
Retention
- Cookie choice: 1 year, then you're asked again.
- Voter ID cookie: 2 years, or deleted as soon as you withdraw consent.
- Votes and vote history: while the related content is published; deleted together with it.
- Statistics and technical logs: for the providers' retention periods.
Your rights
Under KVKK art. 11 you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it's used accordingly
- Know the third parties it's transferred to, in Turkey or abroad
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request deletion or destruction under KVKK art. 7
- Request that corrections and deletions be notified to third parties
- Object to an outcome against you arising solely from automated analysis
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing
